How to Set Up IPTV on Android TV

Android TV and Google TV share the same underlying platform, so most instructions work for both. Because the platform is open, you have more choice of players than on locked-down devices.

Choose and install a player

1. Open the Google Play Store on your TV.
2. Search for an IPTV player.
3. Install and open the app.
4. For players not in the store, you can sideload an APK.

Sideloading an APK

Some players are only distributed as APK files. To sideload, you typically enable 'Install unknown apps', download the file, and open it. Only do this with software you trust.

Add your connection

The login flow is the same as on any device: pick your provider type, enter the details exactly, and let the player load. After that your categories and channels should be ready to browse.
